  75. This  was  supposed  to  be  the
  76. biggest  Belgium rave party, but
  77. they  didn't succeed.  (The Rave
  78. Explosion  Part III is still the
  79. biggest)  I  guess  there  where
  80. about  5.000  people that night.
  81. As you look at the name 'Belgium
  82. Rave'  and  the dj.  line-up you
  83. can  see  that  all the dj's and
  84. live  act's  are from Belgium, a
  85. 100%   pure   Belgium  rave.   I
  86. arrived  rather  late  (again :)
  87. around   00.00  Am.   The  first
  88. couple  of  houres  when  i  was
  89. there  were  not that good, they
  90. played    a    little   bit   to
  91. commercial  music  (and  i  hate
  92. that!).  I mean no 2unlimited or
  93. Capella,  but  a lot of wellknow
  94. Belgium   stuff,   mostly   from
  95. Bonzai  Records.   I didn't hear
  96. all   the   dj's   and  i  don't
  97. remember them all (the ones i've
  98. heard).

  101. You   probably   know  him  from
  102. 'Dream  Your  Dream' they scored
  103. lots  of  top  hits.   He is not
  104. that a good dj, he plays lots of
  105. wellknow   things,  things  i've
  106. heard  already  1000  times.  He
  107. has earned his name because he's
  108. so  famous with Bonzai under the
  109. name 'Dream You Dream'.

  112. Fucking  awesome!   Really  good
  113. music, perfectly mixed and again
  114. mostly Hardtrance, yeah!
  115. Watch out for him at Energy'94.

  118. Played  at  bit  the  same style
  119. like Yves Deruyter.  But i think
  120. he is not that a good mixer like
  121. Yves  De Ruyter.  Overall is was
  122. good.

  124.            {* Live Act}
  125. Actually the same live act as on
  126. MAYDAY  6,  except that they now
  127. played 5 songs i think, (in full
  128. lenght) and on MAYDAY 6 a couple
  129. of  10,  but  only  a  couple of
  130. minutes  from a song, kinda like
  131. a  little  mix  from  all  their
  132. successes.    In  the  beginning
  133. lots   of   things  went  wrong,
  134. sounded funny!  :-)

  136. I've  heard  some  other Dj's to
  137. but  i don't know who they were.
  138. Because at that moment there was
  139. no  presentation  anymore :( But
  140. they were some good ones between
  141. them!   Especially  the  guy who
  142. played around 05.00Am.

  144. The  music  system:  Really big!
  145. There  where about 50speakers in
  146. the  hall.   On  the  flyer they
  147. said  'Biggest  loud  and  light
  148. show  ever  seen  at  a  Belgian
  149. House  Party'  i guess they were
  150. right!  The quality of the music
  151. was  also  good,  maybe a little
  152. bit to loud.

  154. Light System:  Also very nice, 2
  155. lasers,   a   lot   of  strobos,
  156. smoke-canons,  spots...  I think
  157. they  used  the  system not good
  158. enough,  with  such an equipment
  159. they  could  do  much  better  i
  160. think.
  161.  
  162. Conclusion:   not  a  bad party,
  163. but i think they played a little
  164. bit   to   commercial  shit  (or
  165. should    i    say   'wellknown-
  166. stuff').    After   3am  it  was
  167. really  nice!  All the kids with
  168. their  Bonzai-Shirts  were  gone
  169. and   the   played   very   nice
  170. hardtrance   stuff!    Yeah!   I
  171. wished  it was the whole evening
  172. like after 3am :)
